Learners will develop an understanding of CAD systems, including: • The principles of a 2D drawing environment, including hardware, software, and workstation setup • Health and safety considerations in a CAD environment • Using key components in 2D CAD software • Creating lines and shapes relative to a coordinate system • Applying text, hatching, and simple dimensioning routines • Modifying existing drawings • Outputting a 2D drawing layout
