This course is aimed at anyone interetsed in a career within the Esports Industry. You will have the opportunity to learn more about the Esports industry and will take part in regular Esports competitions competing in the British Esports Association Championships whilst developing a range of essential Skills knowledge and behaviours for work. The qualification prepares you for a career in Esports, and there is a focus on career development in Esports and for those looking for an engaging and stimulating qualification who want to specialise in a technical job role. Learning is consistent with current industry practice to enable you to enter further study at level 3. Learners are given the opportunity to develop a range of transferable skills expected by employers such as effective communication, teamwork, leadership, decision making, planning and completing tasks to a high standard, all of which are valued in the workplace.

You will learn through a variety of lectures, group exercises, practical work and you will be expected to undertake directed self-study to complete assignments to time constraints.
Functional Skills, or GCSE in Maths and English
Assessment includes a range of methods and styles suited to skills and occupationally based qualifications at this level. Units are internally assessed. Range of assessments include practical activities, written assignments, vlogs and presentations, each unit will be graded as pass, merit, distinction
There is the option to progress on to Level 3 courses with a minimum of merit onto L3 Esports, Computer Science, IT, Media, Business. There is opportunity to enter employment or to take up an apprenticeship on successful completion of this course.
