Candidates wishing to demonstrate complex understanding of fabrication/welding techniques to include manual or robotic welding, sheet or plate metalworking, structural steelworking, pipe/tube fabrication and even rail welding. The qualification is applicable to a variety of fabricator/welder occupations and covers MIG/TIG and Arc welding, as well as the use of different fabrication machinery such as thermal cutters and shearing machines depending on the pathway chosen.

In completing this qualification, you'll cover: Complying with statutory regulations (Health and Safety) Organisational safety requirements in line with modern Health and Safety requirements. Varied fabrication and welding skills (depending on pathway this can involve demonstrating MIG/TIG/Arc welding techniques, marking, measuring and cutting sheets to specification, producing structural assemblies and even erecting it if the job calls for it.) Using and interpreting engineering data and documentation.
