You will learn all the above as well as sharpening techniques, care of your tools and how to use then safely. You will learn to work as part of a team, You will learn how to plan and undertake techniques to complete your project. You will be involved in discussion about technique and methods. You will be taught all aspects of carpentry activities from laying floors to fitting kitchen and fitting roofs. By the end of the course you will achieve a qualification Yes! But you will also have the experience of the carpentry staff passed onto you and complete backup of that team which means that you will be able to work in any construction site in the world with confidence.
You will be assessed variously, by exam, both online and written. You will also be assessed by your tutor through practical tasks.
Site Carpentry Diploma Level 3 or the Site Carpentry Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3. You may also be able to enter the workplace in a junior role if you have gained your Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) accreditation.
