This course is ideal for anyone aiming to work in sales, marketing, or business administration, gain a recognised qualification, progress to higher education, or develop key business and customer skills. No prior qualifications are required, but a good standard of English and motivation are essential.

The minimum age for this course is 16 years. No formal Level 2 qualification is required, though it is beneficial, and some providers may request evidence of English language ability at CEFR B2 level or equivalent.

To achieve the NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Skills for Business: Sales and Marketing, learners must complete 10 units—6 from Group A and 4 from Group B. Group A covers core business skills, including business culture and responsibilities, customer service, document production, problem-solving, teamwork, communication, project contribution, innovation, performance management, and responding to change. Group B focuses on sales and marketing specialisms, with units such as creative product promotion, market research, relationship marketing, internet marketing, understanding sales and marketing relationships, and an optional conferences and events unit.

The NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Skills for Business: Sales and Marketing is a knowledge-based qualification, assessed internally through a portfolio of evidence and externally quality assured.
