This course is focused on developing a broad range of skills used in the hospitality and events industry. It will equip you with key front of house skills and organising techniques to enable you to co-ordinate functions, events and conferences. You will also develop a deeper understanding of the role required for management and supervision. It encompasses everything you need to know in order to deliver outstanding service, manage an event, and supervise a team.

5 GCSEs at grades 4-9 Including English and Maths (previously Grade A-C). Interview.

The course consists of 4 Mandatory Units and up to 15 Optional Units. These include: The Hospitality Industry Principles of Supervising Customer Service Performance in Hospitality Providing Customer Service in Hospitality Financial control in Hospitality Supervisory Skills in the Hospitality Industry Event Organisation in Hospitality The principles of food safety supervision for catering. Planning and Managing a Hospitality Event You will have the option to achieve a Level 2 Barista Skills qualification in addition to the above qualification. This will involve learning about the range of equipment used in making beverages and how to operate the equipment to deliver the desired drink quality. You will also gain a good understanding of the products used in making beverages.

You can progress to a Level 4 apprenticeship as a Hospitality Manager. Alternatively you can progress into employment in a range of roles including Event Co-ordinator, Food & Beverage Supervisor or a Guest Service Co-ordinator.
