This AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) advanced level course is a mid-level accounting qualification ideal for anyone who is looking to advance their existing knowledge of accounting. This flexible course is delivered in partnership with Mindful Education and combines online learning with face-to-face lessons in the classroom. The course fee does not include registration and membership fees or books required for the optional modules ' approx. cost of £200. The cost of the first scheduled unit's exam as per the course calendar is included in the course fee. You must have a sound knowledge of bookkeeping principles to undertake the AAT Level 3 programme. Achievement of an AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting is essential. An excellent level of spoken and written English is required for this course. Please be aware of the need to spend a significant amount of time away from the classroom undertaking independent study. You will be assessed throughout your course via practical activity observations academic coursework and industry placements. Assessments are based around 'real-life' projects and industry or workplace scenarios including work experience. Your final grade will be awarded as pass merit or distinction.

ProgressionOn successful completion of this course you can progress to the AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting. Career opportunitiesThe skills and knowledge you will gain throughout this qualification will qualify you for roles including Finance Officer Assistant Accountant and Bookkeeper. You will also be eligible for AAT Bookkeeper (AATQB) status giving you the option to work as a freelance bookkeeper.
