T Level in Finance (Specialism in Insurance Practitioner) Level 3. T Levels are 2-year courses after GCSEs, offering an alternative to A Levels or apprenticeships. Designed with employers, they equip you with industry-relevant skills. You’ll spend 80% in class and 20% on a 45-day placement. This gives you real-world experience while studying. Like A Levels and BTECs, T Levels are free if you start before age 19.

The Finance T Level is designed to be well-rounded and comprehensive, with five key Performance Outcomes (POs): PO1: Operate ethically and professionally in all interactions. PO2: Explain investment banking products/services to internal and external clients. PO3: Explain asset and wealth management products/services to internal and external clients. PO4: Apply risk management principles in both investment banking and asset/wealth management. PO5: Analyse financial data and present reports to relevant stakeholders. Over the 2-year course, you’ll study a range of topics to prepare for employment or further study. In Year 1, units include: The business environment Regulation Careers in finance and accounting Security and risk In Year 2, you’ll complete an externally set project titled "Insurance Practitioner". We also work with stakeholders, including Chelmsford City Council, to expand opportunities for learners to develop entrepreneurial skills—such as through participation in events like the Youth Innovation Event.
You’ll spend 80% of your time in the classroom and 20% on a 45-day placement with an employer to give you the skills and knowledge companies look for.
