The Apprenticeship Framework in Health & Social Care delivered by Woodspeen Training is accredited by Edexcel and includes Dilpoma Level 2 in Health and Social Care, Certificate in preparing to work in adult social care, Functional Skills in Maths and English at Level 1 (relaxations may be available depending on grades achieved at GCSE in Maths and English), and Employment Rights and Responsibilities workbook. The Diploma includes topics such as communication, clients' rights, health and safety, abuse, self development, basic care, care planning, moving and handling. This is a work based learning qualifications so a lot of your learning will take place in the workplace. If you are unemployed you will initially be in the training centre full time. Once you have completed your foundation period a suitable placement will be found which you will attend full time to develop your health and social care skills. Both employed and unemployed learners will spend one day in centre for underpinning knowledge sessions and support.

You will be assessed on an ongoing basis to monitor your competence, ability and understanding. Off the job training will be provided in the form of lectures held weekly at the training centre. Observations will be carried out in the workplace.
