4 GCSEs at grade 3/D or above, including English and maths OR successful completion of a Level 1 Diploma in a relevant vocational subject and working towards Level 1 Functional Skills. , , Some farming/land-based engineering experience before commencing the course is essential, as is the ability to cope with written work. , , A work placement for at least 150 hours will need to be completed throughout the year. , , Attitude to learning is also considered.,
You will be taught by a combination of face to face and on-line theory and practical lessons.
You will be assessed by a combination of coursework, written papers and examinations.
Learners may wish to progress onto a Level 3 course in Agriculture; an Apprenticeship in Agriculture or employment., ,
