You will need a relevant Level 1 qualification (merit or distinction grade) including GCSE English, maths and science grade 3-9.This full-time course is designed for young people aged 16-18 (or up to 24 if supported with an EHCP).
This Level 2 course will provide you with an advanced level of knowledge and skills in marine engineering, enabling you to enter employment as a marine engineer or to progress your career in the marine industry. It covers marine engine maintenance, fault-finding, replacement of components and marine electrics.You will benefit from our industry expert lecturers and will be taught in our dedicated marine engineering and marine electrical workshops at our brand-new specialist Maritime Centre of E
Once completed you may be able to progress onto the Level 3 T Level Maintenance Engineering Technologies: Mechanical (Maritime) or an advanced apprenticeship.This course will open the doors to working in marine construction or marine engineering.
