This course is for experienced dry liners, seeking to build on their knowledge and develop their skills. The qualification is ideal for those looking for progression opportunities, as it allows learners to branch to higher level courses, including supervisory and management qualifications.

Candidates must already be working in the construction industry as a Dry Liner. Candidates must also be over the age of 19 as of August this 2020.

All evidence and assessments will be managed by the e-portfolio system - Learning Assistant. Candidates will be assessed through a number of assessment methods. Evidence will be collated by both the assessor and the candidate through observations, professional discussions, witness testimonies and supporting documentary evidence. Competence is proved by the assessor observing the candidate demonstrating that they carry out their normal work activities competently to the industry standard.

The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Dry Lining will enable the candidate to apply for the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) blue skill card (https://www.cscs.uk.com/card-type/skilled-worker/). Achievement of this qualification provides opportunities to progress to further qualifications and training such as: such technical, supervisory and management qualifications.
