If you're qualified to AAT level 4, you're exempt from the Certificate in Business Accounting level and can start at the Professional Operational level straight away. If you’re a graduate with an accountancy or finance degree, you may be eligible to start at the Professional Strategic level. You will need to provide your certificates to apply for exemptions directly on the CIMA website. You must have gained your qualification with the last 7 years to be eligible for a CIMA exemption.
You’ll develop your knowledge of management accounting and real-world application, giving you tools to solve business problems, communicate financial data, and develop leadership skills to drive growth. It prepares you for both technical accounting skills and strategic leadership roles

Examinations will take place throughout and will be assessed by CIMA directly. Within the last few months of the apprenticeship (known as the gateway), the employer and our trainer will agree when the apprentice is ready for the end point assessment (EPA). The EPA has two components: a synoptic case study, and a project report which are both completed after the gateway. These will be assessed based on the knowledge, skills and behaviours covered throughout the apprenticeship.
