Diploma in Reflexology

The Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology is a substantial vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as a reflexologist. This qualification is designed for learners aged 16 years or over and will support you to gain employment as a reflexologist, as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role. The primary outcome of the Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology (QCF) is to confirm your competence as a reflexologist in the complementary therapy sector. All the units in this qualification relate directly to the specific job role of a reflexologist.

Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of a Level 2 qualification in complementary therapy and/or a successful skills test and interview.

This is a vocational qualification and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a reflexologist including, mandatory units covering the following: knowledge and understanding of the principles and practice and business practice, anatomy, physiology and pathology for complementary therapies. You will also develop your understanding and practical skills to competently provide reflexology treatments.

Throughout this qualification, you will develop your knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety, and client care. You will also develop a range of technical skills enabling you to use reflexology techniques for relaxation and to promote self-healing for your clients. You will also develop interpersonal skills that will assist you to communicate effectively with clients.

You will be assessed on your occupational competency by creating a portfolio including comprehensive case study evidence. Your assessor will test your knowledge, understanding and practical competence through a variety of assessment methods including observations and online tests.

This qualification will confirm your competence for employment as a reflexologist. You will also be eligible to join a professional association and gain insurance as a reflexologist. Career opportunities as a reflexologist exist in a variety of contexts, including Working in commercial complementary therapy clinics, Working a commercial spa or salon, Working in the NHS in hospitals and care homes, Working independently,self-employed, mobile or home-based settings
