The Level 2 Diploma is the natural progression from level 1 and will give you a more detailed insight into the industry and construction techniques. You will learn key Plastering skills from experts in the sector and will be taught how to understand working drawings, types of structures, use of different plastering materials as well as how to conduct yourself and others on building sites. The main topics covered within this qualification are: -Up to date Health & Safety requirements essential for working on a building site. -Types of plastering materials and application techniques. -Render/ board and skim application -Understand working drawings The course also offers a basic understanding of: -Roof construction traditional and modern -Foundation construction -Flooring construction methods used -Timber-frame construction

Specifically for the workshop- you will be required to provide safety boots and overalls. To access the facilities inside the college- you will need a set of clean clothes and footwear to change in to. Good levels of English and Maths are important for your success in your course- your chosen vocation and life. Throughout your course you will continue to develop your English and Maths skills in your vocational classes.
