This is a 4 weeks hands on practical course running every 4 weeks to teach brickwork from beginner to experienced trades person. Our delivery is tailored to your current knowledge and experience. Fully funded for learners 19 years + currently claiming JSA, ESA and Universal Credit. We have a motivated team of highly skilled tutors, all offering the best professional trade skill training available, we put great emphasis on a high quality finish, In fact if you do not hold the same high opinion of any training we deliver to you after completing your course with us, we will give you the opportunity to return and re take any of modules you have undertaken, this is also true of any lecture you have taken as a refresher later on, so if your trained by us you can be confident you will receive complete technical support for as long as you need it after you finish. We also invite anyone interested in joining one of our courses to visit us beforehand to see our centre in action first hand. Funded course also includes Health & Safety L1 training, CSCS test and card.

During the course you will learn to; Understand Health & Safety requirements Understand and be able to communicate effectively in a construction trade environment Be able to safely use tools & equipment Be able to mix mortar (sand, cement, water) Be able to lay brick/ block/ cavity wall with return Be able to level & square brick/ block work Be able to cut bricks/ blocks in a safe manner Be able to use DPC (damp proof course)

Understand how the course will be delivered.

This course will provide you with an introduction to working in the construction industry with core units on health and safety and communication within construction trades followed by hands on practical training in building block, brick and cavity walls.

Throughout the duration of your course, your work and knowledge will be assessed using different methods, such as; Practical Observation Q&A (Question & Answer) Self, Peer & Group Assessments Completion of a Workbook

You can enrol onto further trades to become multi-skilled. Employment opportunities enhanced through employer and working site interaction during the course. This course can also set you on the pathway to becoming a skilled self-employed worker. If employment is secured there is an option to achieve L2 learning
