To gain the BTEC Level 4 HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering qualification you must achieve a minimum of 120 credits through both mandatory and optional modules which include: - Analytical Methods for Engineers- - Engineering Science- - Project Design- - Implementation and Evaluation- - Electrical and Electronic Principles- - Electrical Power & Further Mathematics for Technicians.

A BTEC National Qualification or at least one A-Level in an appropriate subject or An NVQ Level 3 qualification. Mature students- who do not meet these academic qualifications- will have relevant work or life experience taken into consideration. All students need to be able to demonstrate competency in English and Maths- possess suitable references and have a successful College interview.

All modules are assessed by assignments; each unit's assessment is matched to the content of the unit. Each unit can be assessed at Pass- Merit or Distinction levels- which are combined at the end of the qualification to give an overall grade of Pass- Merit or Distinction.
