A miniumum of a Level 3 qualification in your subject specialism, GCSE grade 4/C or above in maths and English, or equivalent qualification.
You will learn about the basic theories of teaching and the fundmental elements required to teach learners in post-compulsary education. You will learn about lesson planning, delivery and assessment.
The course aims to provide you with an introduction to teaching, equipping you with the basic knoeldge and skills required to deliver high quality teaching sessions.
You will build a portfolio of evidence and you will be observed undertaking a micro-teach.
You coud progress to a higher education qualification in teaching or to Asessing and Quality Assurance courses.
