Arm Knitting - Festive Wreaths

This day course is intended for people with mixed levels of experience. The tutor will ensure that total beginners will get the instruction and support they need, and that those who are more advanced in the subject will be given tasks with more challenge. This course is being held at our Bishopdale Learning Hub. There is no cafe onsite and limited amenities nearby. There is an onsite coffee machine for refreshments (card only). Please ensure you bring a packed lunch for the day.

There will be no exams or qualifications, as the course will focus on creative activities. The Tutor will use a combination of group demonstrations and one-to-one support. To ensure fair access to our high-demand tailored learning courses and to better support your learning journey, we are moving to a termly enrolment cycle. This means you will now enrol for one term at a time. Your tutor will work with you during the term to identify the best progression route for your goals.

Learn the art of arm knitting a Festive Wreath. Learn the stitches and techniques involved in knitting a wreath around a metal ring. Understand tension and how it affects the knit stitch. Learn how to create a bow and tweak the acrylic yarn to create tapering.

The lesson will be classroom based and supported by Google Classroom. This is our virtual learning space which will enhance your learning experience and will be used for resources, assessment, as well as to extend learning outside the classroom and to support independent learning. You will be able to access Google Classroom via your secure leicesterlearns account. You will be asked to contribute to a�Learning Plan and the class Padlet on which you and the tutor will be able to chart your progres
