Desktop Publishing (Microsoft Publisher) - Level 1

However, we also recognize that some women benefit from the supportive and close-knit environment of a women-only class, which can help to develop the skills, confidence and ambition to succeed in mainstream education, work and community settings. Some women have been socially marginalised because they left school with few or no qualifications, have a disability or have had their education or career plans disrupted by caring responsibilities. Some women have also experienced abusive or unhealthy relationships with friends, partners or family, and this can be an additional barrier to moving on. You will learn about using Microsoft Publisher you will gain the skills, knowledge and techniques required to produce documents such as newsletters and brochures combining text and images.

You will need to have achieved either Level 1 Word Processing or Level 1 Presentation Software unit.

On this course you will: - Select and use appropriate designs and page layouts for publications - Enter text and images - Select and use desktop publishing software techniques to edit and format publications
