Our Level Two Diploma in Agriculture provides good grounding in the key aspects of farming. As well as performing practical activities associated with agriculture you will develop your academic skills through learning more about farm equipment and livestock.

Students who have successfully completed this course have found it helped in working in industry or going on to study at Level Three. One reason for this success is that you are provided with a broad base of experience from studying a combination of agriculture, business and science units. This means upon completion of the course you will have the base knowledge and skills to help you start your career or move to higher level courses. Wherever your journey through the farming world takes you, you can begin to shape your future with a level two qualification from WCG.

Four GCSEs at grade 3 or above to include English language, and Math OR Science. NOTE: A relevant Level 1 qualification with a minimum level of Entry 3 English and Maths may be considered.

<p><strong>The level 2 Diploma will provide you with a sound introduction to agriculture and its allied industries. </strong></p> <p>The course includes a good balance of machinery, crop and livestock husbandry. Topics covered include:</p> <ul> <li>Farm and estate maintenance</li> <li>Machinery operations and maintenance</li> <li>Land-based business</li> <li>Work experience ( A mandatory work placement makes up part of the course.)</li> <li>Science crop husbandry</li> </ul>

All modules are assessed by coursework, through written assignments and practical assessments.

On successful completion of this course you may wish progress onto the Level 3 Diploma in Agriculture. Students aged 18+ may wish to seek employment within the industry.
