This course is designed to introduce both technical and creative skills. You will develop a portfolio that evidences use of the camera and all the controls, menus and then use equipment to capture images. Some location shoots will be included either as part of a session or for homework. Post capturing the images; learn how to use basic software for simple editing and filing. Final outcomes will be in a selection of images alongside a working notebook. Important: * Your portfolio of work will need to stay at the centre until after external moderation has taken place. * This course requires confident basic IT skills, such as being able to transfer images between a memory card and a USB drive, print images, and use a mouse confidently. * The Level 1 course relies quite heavily on computers during Unit 2, which focuses on photo editing. Learners will be editing their photographs using computer software.
