This qualification is designed for anyone who wants to gain a deeper understanding of the role of a mentor and develop the skills needed to become an effective mentor. Learners will complete an application form and be invited to an initial interview with the course tutor to discuss thier level of understanding currently, their learning expereinces, their reasons for wishing to do the course and future aspirations.

Learners must be working in an early years setting where they are mentoring or carrying out supervisions in the workplace. Will be required to attend 4 online training sessions and one workplace assessment.

Learners will attend 4 training sessions to: - Gain insight into the role and practice of mentorship - Be clear about mentor/mentee relationships to ensure they follow good practice - Develop the specific skills and understanding in order to mentor colleagues, volunteers and trainees - Reflect on your own learning and work performance - Understand the benefits of mentoring - Understand legal and ethical mentoring requirements
