This twelve-hour course is aimed at anyone working with or responsible for babies and young children.

Topics covered include resuscitation and AED awareness, choking, burns, bleeding and shock, minor injuries, seizures and anaphylaxis. You will also learn about basic hygiene in first aid, assessing the situation, and responsibilities and reporting.

Additional information: This course will involve kneeling on the floor, so please wear sensible clothing and footwear. You will also need to make your own arrangements for hot drinks and food.

Upon successful completion, you’ll be awarded a Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid that meets the requirements detailed in the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory frameworks. You must attend both sessions and pass both practical and paper-based assessments to achieve the qualification.
