National Apprenticeship Week 2024
National Apprenticeship Week runs from Monday 5 February to Sunday 11 February. It aims to raise awareness of the many benefits apprenticeships can offer you.
It's a fantastic chance to learn about apprenticeships, explore your options and network. What better time to find out which of the hundreds of apprenticeships could be the right one for you?
What's on during National Apprenticeship Week
There's a schedule of online and in person events for National Apprenticeship Week.
These events offer you the opportunity to:

- learn more about different companies or sectors
- work out the right route for you

My name is Bradley and I am a recent graduate of the PCDA programme.
Before I joined the PCDA programme I lived down south and I worked in sales and retail, nothing to do with policing at all. I didn't really know what I wanted to do before this.
There was a careers fair where there was many employers around and basically giving you options to basically explore and see what, what's right for you. Obviously many of those were apprenticeships because why not earn while you learn and get a free degree at the same time. Makes sense doesn't it.
The experience was really good. It was difficult, very difficult because you're juggling the full-time policing world and then the uni degree, however once I've come out of it I'm now obviously a fully-fledged police officer, I can just get stuck into the job and actually give the best service I can.
