A fun and practical introductory 4 week course taught by industry professionals. Applicants must have an interest in design basic IT skills and be comfortable using computers. Full attendance is required to complete this course: 4 weeks full-time Monday - Thursday 9.30am - 3.30pm. Learn the principles of graphic design; how to combine typography and image; create logos and brand identity; understand the difference between using colour in print (CMYK) and digital (RGB) designs. Learn how to use Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. Learn how to create and embed QR codes hyperlinks and pop-ups in interactive pdfs.You will create an A4 print portfolio of design work which is assessed by the tutor at the end of the course. You will create an A4 print portfolio of design work which is assessed by the tutor at the end of the course. This will be then assessed by the External Awarding Body.

On successful completion of the course you will receive 2 accredited NCFE qualifications:Level 1 Award in Graphic Design and Level 1 Certificate in Interactive Media. This will help prepare you for a career in graphic design or web design.You may also progress to Web Design Digital Marketing or Programming course at the College.
