No entry requirements exist for this course. You need to be in the engineering industry and have determination and motivation to complete the course. You will need to have an interest and ability to complete practical tasks in the workshop.
<p>This course is perfect for any employee in the workplace who wishes to gain a qualification relating to basic engineering skills, such as hand fitting, turning and milling.&nbsp;</p>
<p>You will attend the College on Wednesdays from 9.30am to 5pm. You will need to complete some work in your own time. We suggest you need to spend&nbsp;one to two hours per week&nbsp;doing this.</p>
You will produce a portfolio of evidence. Your Assessor will check this portfolio on a regular basis. Observations will be carried out by your Assessor while you are in the workshop to prove you are competent in the set tasks. You must complete all knowledge questions, practical tasks and written work for all six units to complete the course.
