Certificate in Payroll for Practitioners

Payroll - Manual and Computerised. This is the starting point for those wishing to create and maintain a payroll and gain a payroll qualification. Successful students will receive IAB qualification. SAGE Line 50 software is used.

IAB Level 1

Computerised payroll theory; Fundamentals of employment legislation for payroll; Composition of an employee payroll record; Elements of gross pay; Statutory and non-statutory payments and additions; Termination of employment; Calculate gross pay; Creating an employee payroll record; Processing leavers; Payroll processing.+

Demonstration using Smartboard through computer-linked projectors, exposition and discussion. One-to-one and Group work. Through tutor-guidance and hands-on experience, the completion of the course examination(s). Examination. The tutor will closely monitor the students' work as well as questioning, observing progress, setting tasks and online questioning with diagnosis

.Materials are supplied free of charge by the Centre As much practice as possible to reinforce learning. This may be at home or elsewhere by accessing courseware online or from homework given by the tutor.
