The L2 ICT Support Technician study programme is for those learners who have an interest in computing with a focus on the technical aspects of software and hardware and an interest in providing technical support. It is a vocational programme that provides you with the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in a real professional environment. Youll attend a work placement throughout the course and will also work providing technical support to the public through the Colleges on-site technical support shop, PC Planet. Youll be working with ICT hardware, equipment, software installation and upgrades. Youll test systems and diagnose technical faults as well as managing software and services. This course leads onto the L3 ICT Support Technician study programme or you could start your career in a junior role as an IT support technician, run desktop support, or become a network support technician.
