This T Level is suitable for anyone wanting a career in IT, specifically in areas such as IT solutions or data analysis. The T Level is a 2 year programme and will include a 9 week (minimum) industry placement and a Technical Qualification.

Data analysis has become a vital element in every organisation from sport performance to marketing. Data technicians are responsible for collecting, analysing, and implementing information, as well as facilitating data storage processes, creating detailed reports based on their work, and providing conclusions based on their observations. This course will help you to develop your skills using databases and spreadsheets and apply them in business contexts. Business analysts use the data to identify new clients, products, improve training and processes, and help their companies become more effective and profitable. This course is made up of different sections. The first is the core. This will give you a baseline understanding of the industry. It covers a range of areas, giving you a vital underpinning knowledge and understanding of concepts and the skills that you’ll need in this sector. You will also complete an "Employer Set Project" as part of this core learning. The core elements of digital will cover a host of themes including the following: The business environment How organisations respond to change Ethical and moral issues in IT Concepts and fundamentals of data Understanding algorithms and how they work Abstraction, Action, Decomposition and Patterns Digital environments Emerging technologies Planning and Security Fundamentals of testing Digital tools

Understand how the course will be delivered.

During the two-year programme, you will learn the core knowledge that underpins most jobs in the digital industry and you will also develop occupation-specific skills that will allow you to enter skilled employment within the data analysis industry. In addition to the minimum of 45-day work placement in the industry, you will be trained and guided, by our expert staff, as you work on a set of exciting projects outlined by employers in the industry.

The core is assessed with two exams which are externally marked. Both are two hours long. Learners are also required to complete an employer set project task as part of the core. The Occupational Specialism Assessment (OSA) will be assessed by three assignments which are completed under control assessment conditions.
