This course is designed to equip you with the academic skills to support you going onto an Access to Higher Education Diploma in Health Professionals or Social Science. Subjects you will study include: * Sociology and Social Policy * Health * Psychology * Study Skills To achieve this qualification you will need complete 25 credits in total at Level 2 You can also study English and maths (If you do not already possess a Level 2 in maths and English)

All students will need to complete an initial assessment. If you meet the entry requirements you will then be offered an interview with a teacher to discuss the course. Please complete an application form to arrange an assessment date.

This course is designed to best prepare you mentally and academically for moving on to a Level 3 Access to HE course. On completion of this course you will be awarded a Level 2 Certificate in Skills for Further Study in Health. This course prepares you for progressing onto Access to HE Diploma in either Health Professionals or Social Science.

Understand how the course will be delivered.

Post Covid-19: For the safety of yourself and our teachers, we have made the decision to deliver all of our Access to HE diplomas differently next year. You will still need to commit to coming in for one full day (9:30 - 15:30) and one half day for face-to-face delivery, with additional learning to be completed at set times throughout the week, online. Online sessions will be streamed through Padlet and Microsoft Teams, which will then be supported in weekly face-to-face sessions. Further infor

There is no additional cost to you to complete the Diploma, everything that is required comes out of the cost of the programme. You will need to supply your own writing materials such as pens, writing pads and folders

You will be monitored and assessed throughout your study. This will be through presentations, timed essays and assignments as well as written examinations. All students work is verified through Open College Network West Midlands externally moderation process to make sure that your grades are fair and accurate.
