Anyone undertaking the programme must be working in an appropriate setting to allow for competency based assessments.
Whilst on programme learners will develop their knowledge and skills in a range of areas including: child development, safeguarding, wellbeing, developing positive relationships, positive outcomes and duty of care.
Programmes will be delivered through a blended learning model .Teaching, learning and assessment will be conducted using online tools, an Eportfolio and work based visits.
Learners will require a desktop computer or laptop to undertake assessment through their Eportfolio, with a strong internet connection to facilitate online teaching sessions.
Assessments will take place in the workplace and through an online portfolio and will include the following methods: observation, professional discussion, questioning, and projects and assignments.
Learners will be assessed using a range of methods to suit their individual needs. These may include (but are not limited to) written and oral questioning, assignments, reflective activities, projects, observation of practice.
