This practical gardening course is ideal whether you are new to gardening, wanting a career change or interested in building on your, current knowledge., You develop the basic skills you need to complete a range of gardening activities which will help you to improve your own garden. You, cover the following topics: planning seasonal interest in your garden; compost & compost making; friends & foes in the garden; digging, your soil, testing your soil; how to fertilise your garden; planting out techniques & plant maintenance and plant propagation, including, taking cuttings & division of herbaceous perennials.
