To study 3 A Levels you’ll need at least 5 GCSE’s at grades 9-4 (A*-C) including GCSE English at Grade 4 (C) or above and Maths at grade 6 (B) or above. To study 4 A Levels you’ll need at least 6 GCSE’s at grades 9-6 (A*-C) including GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 (C) or above. If you have a grade 5 on a higher paper then you may be able to study A Level Maths following the successful completion of an assessment at enrolment.

Having a traditional subject such as Maths on your CV can boost your job prospects and there is evidence that people who study Maths earn more money than those who don’t. You will study this course alongside 2 or 3 other A Levels and you will be able to select your chosen subjects when you apply online. Many of our students take this subject alongside business studies, economics, psychology, sociology and geography. As part of the course you will study pure mathematics, building on the work you did at GCSE level and extending your range of mathematical skills and techniques to solve more difficult problems. Topics include pure maths and statistics.
