Ideally learners will hold a NVQ Level 2 in Wood Trade related qualifications and be employed. An Initial assessment will also be carried out to provide a skills analysis.
The learner will learn key practical skills and knowledge in these mandatory units: -Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace -Confirming Work Activities and Resources for an Occupational Work Area in the Workplace -Moving, Handling and Storing Resources in the Workplace -Developing and Maintaining Good Occupational Working Relationships in the Workplace -Confirming the Occupational Method of Work in the Workplace
You will be assessed against a set of performance and knowledge statements which have been derived from National Occupational Standards for your occupational area. Delivery will be undertaken at your work place and also and our purpose built Construction training centre in Plymouth.
Learners will be expected to fully comply with construction site safety and be expected to wear PPE. This includes at our Construction training centre. Support maybe available to help provide resources. Please speak to us.
You will be assessed against a set of performance and knowledge statements which have been derived from National Occupational Standards for your occupational area. You will be assessed by an occupationally competent and qualified assessor whose job is to work with you and help you complete your qualification. This can be at your place of work and our construction training centre.
This qualification supports the learner to attain enabling, fundamental and transferable practical skills with associated underpinning knowledge. Upon successful completion of the course learners will be able to apply for the CSCS Supervisory Card (subject to passing the CSCS Health and Safety test or holding a valid CSCS Health and Safety Test) Their could also be progression opportunities into OWS
