You must be aged 19 and over and live in England. You will also need to complete an initial assessmentTo gain full funding for the course you must live within the West Midlands area, and this course must be your first level 3 qualification.Anyone living outside of the West Midlands area can apply for an advanced learner loan to support you with the cost of the course.
You will develop an in-depth understanding of dementia and its effects. You will explore the various types of dementia, recognise the importance of early diagnosis, as well as focus on person-centred approaches to dementia care.This qualification will equip you with the knowledge needed to work in a variety of roles within the health and social care services.
This course is studied on line over a period of 12 weeks using the learning resources provided. Coursework is assessed by tutors who have an occupational background in this subject area.
