Course Description: This course is for parents for whom English is an additional language and will offer you an opportunity to explore your current knowledge of Maths and develop your confidence in using numeracy together with your child. You will learn the vocabulary in different areas of maths including number, times and dates and data and learn some fun ways to support your child’s learning. You will also develop a further understanding in the requirements of Functional Skills Maths in preparation for the accredited course. Entry Requirements: This course is for speakers of English as an additional language who have not yet achieved a level 2 qualification in Maths. What will this course cover? Your tutor will help you to set your own, individual learning goals that will support you towards achieving your qualification/course aims.
