This outdoors feel good course is right for you if you are fascinated by the natural beauty of what is around you and want to learn about plants and wildlife. There is no need to have any previous knowledge or expertise in gardening, but you will need to be fit and able to bend and dig and spend time outside. This mixed ability course is open to both new and returning REMIT students.

Understand how the course will be delivered.

If you want to get outside and create happy spaces for wildlife this is for you. The course is based at Bishopdale Adult learning Hub where under the guidance of the expert tutor you will help to develop a wildlife friendly garden to enjoy. You will also grow food in a sustainable way and experience tasting food you have grown yourself. There are no exams or qualifications.

This course is physical and outdoors so be prepared with boots and coats. It will help you increase your knowledge and understanding of local wildlife whilst looking at the bigger picture and how to look after our planet. It is anticipated that the course will encourage you to get out and about more and to take individual steps to preserve and look after our environment. With renewed interest and confidence, you may wish to get involved in local volunteering or gardening.
