You need to be aged 19 and over and will be assessed at the start of the course to determine the right level of support and learning
The course will support you to understand how maths is used and applied in everyday life so that you gain the confidence and skills to apply the new knowledge. You'll learn about percentages, fractions and statistics.
Throughout the course you’ll be supported by our professional and skilled specialist Maths Trainers with personalised training that will help you tackle and overcome any topic areas that you may struggle with. We use an online tool to assess and personalise the support for you. We can also deliver in the workplace, in a community venue, at one of our centres or remotely.
You don't need to bring any specialist equipment
Written exam (paper or onscreen) in two sections: • Non-calculator – the underpinning maths skills • Calculator – problem solving
After completing the course you'll have developed the foundation skills and knowledge to allow you to progress to a higher level, an apprenticeship or even employment with a recognised qualification
