YEAR 12 Meeting The Nutritional Needs of Specific Groups You will investigate the specific needs of different groups; planning and cooking dishes to meet their nutritional requirements. This unit has both internal and external assessments which are weighted equally and worth 50% of the Diploma. YEAR 13 Ensuring Food Is Safe To Eat and experimenting to solve food production problems In Year 13 you will study 2 units both of which have a controlled assessment worth 25% each of the total marks. One unit focuses on food hygiene and safety and the other on an industry based scenario of a food production fault.
