Year 1 This course offers a discipline in its own right distinct from English studies. It will complement but not overlap A Level English Literature or Language study. Creative writing allows aspiring writers to trace a route through school or college on to higher education and into professional practice. It will appeal to a wide range of students including those studying other disciplines such as science or humanities. In your first year you will write regularly and read critically - as a writer. You will support and collaborate with other students in workshop situations. Year 2 In your second year you will continue to develop your skills as a writer through different workshops which will further improve your ability to share your work and ideas and receive feedback. Over the year you will improve your aptitude for redrafting work and learn editing skills to become a confident writer with the ability to reflect critically.
