Teaches a range of essential customer service skills including; customer queries and complaints, taking telephone calls and messages, directing customers to correct department or person, helping implement customer service strategy. Level 1 will suit you if you are new to customer service and are looking to gain basic knowledge, understanding and experience of dealing with customers.

No formal qualifications required other than those dictated by work environment. Ideally for someone in a customer facing role, subject to successful completion of an informal interview.
Assessment is done via a portfolio of evidence which covers the assessment criteria for each unit or combination of units as applicable to the qualification being undertaken.Evidence will be through completed worksheets, activities and observations (2 core units and least 3 optional units 1 taken from each of the three optional groups) totalling at least 22 credits 8 of which must be gained from the core units.
