Who this course is for
During this short course you will learn the skills required to produce a pair of sandals and will be introduced to the different types of sandal constructions. Using the materials and components provided, you will be taught to produce a pair of wearable sandals to your own design. Whilst every effort will be made to meet your size requirements, it may not always be possible to make the sandal in your desired size.
Entry requirements
You do not need to have any prior shoemaking experience.
What you'll learn
You will learn the principles of pattern cutting, upper construction, lasting and sole construction.
What you'll need to bring
You will need to bring a notebook and pen, and are required to wear sturdy shoes and clothes suitable for a workshop environment. Please note that materials are included with the course fee.
What you can do next
Successful completion of this course will enable you to undertake another one of our shoemaking or leatherwork short, full or part-time courses.
