2. Who this course is for

In Graphic Communication students will develop their investigative, analytical, experimental, practical, technical and expressive skills. The course is designed to enhance all students? aesthetic understanding, critical judgement and knowledge of art, craft and design, media and technologies in contemporary and past societies and cultures. Graphics students will develop a knowledge and experience of real-world contexts and where appropriate, links to creative industries via live projects with real clients. Students taking this course would expect to progress onto higher education courses in Graphic Design or Media or begin working in the graphics/media industry.

3. Entry requirements

Six GCSEs at Grade 5 or above including Graphic Communication, Design Technology and/or Art and Design. A Graphics GCSE is the best platform from which to take this subject although in some circumstances after negotiations with the teaching staff, students may access the course from the Art, Craft and Design GCSE.
