This quantity surveying degree apprenticeship teaches you about cost and project management, contract management and law, commercial awareness and ethics in the construction and property industries Via the course modules, you'll gain practical skills relating to construction technology and sustainability, health and safety and measurement. There is also a final-year project, which is designed to build your skills in research data collection, problem-solving and analysis. This course is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. The apprenticeship completes with an end point assessment to become a RICS accredited Chartered Surveyor. The course enables you to study alongside employment, so you gain relevant experience in the industry as well as having a degree. You must be employed full-time in an appropriate apprenticeship role to be eligible for this course.

112 UCAS points, including 3 A-levels at grades BBC or above. GCSEs in English Language or Literature and Mathematics at grade C / 4 or above. (We also accept equivalent qualifications at Level 2.) Teaching is a mixture of on campus lectures, seminars and workshops (one day a week) and self-study and learning in the work environment supported by a mentor. Our facilities are designed to support you in these activities. Students also take part in shared / collaborative modules with other students on the built environment course,
For Architecture, Landscape and Design courses, you will produce portfolios of large format plots plus CNC/3D printed models etc. Costs will vary but could reach £250 a year for printing, £100 for model making, and £50 for visiting the sites.
Apprentices are assessed through a combination of assessment methods including coursework, examinations, presentations and report writing. Each course has formal assessments which count towards your grade. Some courses may also include 'practice' assignments, which help you monitor progress and do not count towards your final grade.
The end point assessment procures RICS Chartered Surveyor accreditation. Career opportunities exist in many areas of the construction and property industries. These include roles in private practice, with contractors, developers and housing associations, or within central and local government.
