The course is intermediate level and requires a basic ability to use hand tools confidently. Some experience of bookbinding is useful. If you have visual difficulties or find working on a miniature scale problematic then you may like to use a magnifying visor. Please check the City Lit website for details.

- Explain the skill, care and time involved in making small books. - Make decorative papers that are fit for covering of miniature books. - Make to scale: a Japanese binding, a flat case-binding and a paper covered binding in a17th century style. - Confidently build on your learning to further your skills and knowledge.
