This Medical Health Professional programme is an Access to Higher Education Diploma, and is designed to help you on the path to studying a medical science related subject at university-level. It's great for anyone who is looking for a change in career and needs the relevant re-training. Depending on the pathway you choose, you'll study a number of different units in Mathematics, Physics, and Biology, focusing on developing the skills required for work in a variety of biological sciences and other Allied Health Professions such as Biomedical Science and Radiography. You'll cover topics like statistics, genetics and the properties of matter, as well as learning all about the cell and what it means to the human body. A part of the course will also include the development of personal skills to help you succeed at university, including study and research techniques and how to apply correctly for higher education degrees.

GCSEs in both English and Maths at grade C/4 or above for this course. If you'd like to take the physics pathway rather than the biology route, you'll need to have a minimum of a Grade B/6 in Maths at GCSE.We'll also invite you down for a short interview so that you can demonstrate your commitment and skills that will be required to complete this diploma.Prospective students should check the entry requirements of their preferred university to ensure the best possible opportunity for progression.
