This course develops your skills as a professional hair stylist, introducing you to the creative aspects of dressing, colouring and perming hair. The course is designed to focus on the development of the underlying principles and the practical skills which are required for the hairdressing industry. The diploma is designed to deliver a high level of occupational capability and provides a sound basis from which to progress to level 3. Course themes: - Consultation, shampooing & conditioning- Cutting & colouring- Styling & dressing hair- Required health & safety, reception skills & customer service Students should have good communication skills, enabling them to work on members of the public. You will be expected to submit written assignments, complete on-line exams, perform practical treatments on the general public and answer oral questions which are all required for full completion of this qualification
