6. What you'll need to bring

You will need to purchase and wear a bun ring as hair must be up in a bun at all times while in College.  A small manicure kit (at a cost of approximately £25) is advisable but not essential. The purchase of a fob watch is optional. You will need to provide your own stationery, including pens, notepad and an A4 folder. If you need a replacement ID badge, the cost will be £3 (or £8 if incorporated with a bus pass).  We supply up to 80 free black and white photocopies per student. Any additional black and white copies are charged at 4p each.

7. How you'll be assessed

Most courses are assessed via a combination of coursework, exams and practical assessments. Exams are formal, timed written assessments, carried out in a controlled environment and overseen by one or more invigilators. Coursework differs from exams in that it is usually non-timed and carried out independently. Practical assessments involve observation of your practical skills and competencies by a trained assessor.
