Students considering this course should have a long-standing love of ICT and creative media, and demonstrate a creative determination to use information technologies in the creation of high quality, digital products.

This course provides outcomes at both Level 1 and Level 2 and is accessible to all students. It is an ideal accompaniment to students studying or retaking English and/or Mathematics at GCSE or Level 2. Students who have already completed a related Level 1 qualification will find that the course offers a natural transition from their existing foundation knowledge.

Includes units such as: The Online World, Technology Systems, Website Development and hardware, software and networking projects. This makes for a very broad, and useful curriculum of study, and development of a wide, vocationally desirable skillset.

Depending on the study program chosen, students will cover a range of centre assessed, and externally assessed coursework units. These units will be taught to using state-of-the-art software and hardware. Changes in vocational courses mean that students will have to sit and pass externally assessed, timetabled examinations in order to be awarded an accredited qualification.

This course will provide students with evidence of industry specific skills, enabling them to stand out on entry to the workplace. In addition, the qualifications will be equipped with both the skills, and the qualifications, to gain a place on a related Level 3 qualification in this, or any other FE college.
